Danielle is a graduate of Valdosta State University's Speech-Pathology program. Since graduating, she has served both the elderly and pediatric populations, focusing on swallowing and feeding difficulties and language barriers to communication. Danielle has workedwith Babies Can't Wait since 2013 with children ages birth to 3 in the home and daycare setting. Her passion is early language intervention, focusing on the principles of parallel talk and interactive play for language enrichment. Her desire to become an SLP grew from having a brotherwith language delays and Asperger's syndrome. Her goal is to provide the best care possible to children and their families.
Tara graduated from Clemson University with a B.S. in Horticulture/Horticulture Therapy and later received her MBA. She graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina with a BS in Occupational Therapy. She has over 31 years of clinical experience with pediatric patients and practice settings have included the NICU, inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, outpatient, and the school system. She is certified in Neurodevelopmental Therapy (NDT). She has a worked with Babies Can't Wait for 18 years. Tara is married and has five children. Her oldest son just started college at Georgia Southern University. Her remaining four children were each adopted and have special needs.
Terry is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia's Occupational Therapy program. She has over 25 years of experience primarily in pediatrics. She has worked in a wide variety of settings including inpatient pediatric rehab, school systems, outpatient pediatric clinics, early intervention, and pediatric home health. She is certified in Neurodevelopmental Therapy (NDT) and in infant massage and has extensive continuing education in Sensory Integration Treatment. Using a holistic approach to help children reach their full potential to be as independent as possible is her passion.
Sarah is a native of Savannah and attended St. Vincent's Academy in high school. In 2006 she graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.S. in Psychology. After briefly working in the investment industry Sarah decided to pursue her passion for working with children and received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Georgia State University. While completing her degree she performed research on the use of virtual reality intervention in children with Cerebral Palsy. She has experience in both the pediatric outpatient clinic and school settings as well as providing early intervention services in the home and daycare through Babies Can't Wait. Sarah enjoys spending time outdoors at the beach and in the boat with her husband and two daughters.
Laurie is a native of Savannah. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a Masters in Communication and Sciences Disorders and has been practicing in Savannah for many years. Practice settings have included medical, school-based, home health, outpatient clinic, and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level. Having experienced a variety of settings and patient populations, Laurie realized her true passion is working with children and their families. Empowering both parents and children to become effective communicators is rewarding and drives her. Laurie is married and has 3 children.
